WordPress's site self-assessment
Using the “WordPress Security Scan” tool on hackertarget.com you can make a light (non-invasive) assessment of the security settings of your WordPress site.
Once the page is open, simply enter the address of your site (e.g. www.yoursite.com) in the “ENTER WORDPRESS SITE(S) TO TEST *” box and press the “Start Scan” button.
After a few seconds, vulnerabilities assessment results will be displayed.
To open the page click on the button below “Assess your site”.
Results analysis
By following the sections of the table below, you can evaluate the results by yourself.
Positive outcomes (secured site)
1) Version number
2) Plugins
3) Theme
4) Users
5) Directory indexing
Negative outcomes (unsecured site)
1) Version number
2) Plugins
3) Theme
4) Users
5) Directory indexing
Conclusions
If there is even one negative outcome, you must secure your site as soon as possible.
The higher the number of negative outcomes, the higher the risk of intrusion and hacking.
Even if you only got positive results in the test, it does not mean that your site is safe!
Securing a WordPress site is a complex operation that involves many items.
